Who should Anthony Joshua fight next?

Anthony Joshua recently retained his WBA and IBF heavyweight title by breaking down a brave Carlos Takam with a controversial 10th-round stoppage in Cardiff.

Who should the heavyweight champion fight next though?

Anthony Joshua is one of the biggest draws in boxing. However - despite many expecting that he would stroll to victory against Takam, who was given just 12 days notice for the fight -  Joshua endured a difficult night against the courageous Cameroonian. This has left many suggesting that Joshua's next fight could really determine whether he truly is a real deal.

Here are his potential opponents for his next fight:

Deontay Wilder

The reigning WBC champion has not hidden the fact that he's desperate for a bout with Anthony Joshua and recently 'declared war' with the British boxer.

Wilder holds a mightily impressive record with 37 knockouts in 38 fights but has been criticised for his previous reluctancy to go up against elite, top-level opposition. This could be the perfect opportunity for Wilder to show the world what he's really made of.

Joseph Parker

It's unlikely at this stage that Parker will be a big enough draw for Joshua to be lured towards the possibility of this bout. However, the Kiwi fighter's solid record of 18 knockouts in 24 fights has the potential to make this an intriguing contest.

Tyson Fury

The one the fans all want. This is the money fight. Joshua's promoter and Matchroom managing director Eddie Hearn said this fight would be the "biggest fight in British boxing history".

Tyson Fury has said he wants to return to the ring in April 2018 and has not hidden the fact that he's desperate for a bout with Anthony Joshua. It does, however, depend on two things; his fitness and whether he can get his license back. If they can both be sorted then this has the potential to be a hugely enthralling fight.
